Update 30 March 2009

Alex Jeffreys, Daily Updates

My web design course has been going well as expected I gained a distinction in the website design and build part of the course.

I am now working on the presentation part of this course which is mainly creating and using Powerpoint slides and pictures.

Apart from all the training I am receiving at zero cost to me, I have started to write an ebook on making a video using Powerpoint. When it is finished I will let you all know here and you will be able to get a copy FREE for a limited time of X days, weeks, months or whatever. The time to get it FREE has not been decided yet, it may be indefinate or limited.

I am still offering to build some websites for 5 of the Fortunate 500 students from Alex Jeffreys coaching class of 2008. These websites will have a number of pages to enable you to brand yourself and can contain links to whatever other sites you want.

If Alex offers another coaching course this year and you missed out on his last course make sure you don’t miss out again. His training gives you all the information you need to succeed.

I will also be making a Powerpoint video to put on the home page of my site at http://www.richardmoloney.com and I hope to have it live within the next week ie before Easter.

For those who are interested my Twitter followers are increasing steadily without me puting much effort into getting them I now have 1464.

Richard

Update on my Web Design Course

Announcements, Internet Marketing

I have just built myself a new website which you can see at http://www.richardmoloney.com and if you like what you see I am offering to build a website for 5 of Alex Jeffreys students free of charge.  You will have to supply your own domain and hosting along with details of what you want on the site.

If you would like to be one of the 5 to get a website built for you then let me know.

I, as you will know if you have been reading earlier posts here, am currently doing a web design course and have just completed the second part of the course.

Part 1 covered IT principles and was a little boring as there was very little in it that I didn’t know already.  It covered setting up a new computer, basic maintenance, how to replace memory safely in both a PC and a laptop and also covered health and safety when working with a computer.  I gained a distinction in the assessment for this section.

Part 2 was on building a website from scratch using Dreamweaver and this is the way I built my site.  I did not have a clue about html etc before starting this section but I can now set up templates, style sheets, buttons, product pages etc etc etc.  I expect to get a distinction for this assessment as well.

I start the part 3 tomorrow and it covers Powerpoint presentations so I expect to be able to make videos using Powerpoint in a couple of weeks.  This is another section for which I have zero knowledge at present.

I managed to get a copy of Butterfly Marketing when it went live today at 12.00pm EST.  Not quite true as there were about 3,000 people on line when it went live and the server crashed so that the majority didn’t get through.  I tried again a couple of hours later and managed to get through and sign up for my copy.

Mike Filsaime gave a guarantee that all those who were on the early bird list and didn’t get in due to the server crash would get a copy even if it meant him having to get more copies prepared instead of the 5,000 that it was originally restricted to.  The number of people Tweeting about the launch problems caused Twitter to crash as well.

Visit my new website and if you would like a website built for yourself leave me your comments below and the I will be in touch with the first 5 of Alex Jeffreys students to sort out their free website for them.

Free List Building Programs

Announcements, Internet Marketing

I have been signed up to the free version of Super List Explode for approximately 1 month now.  My list with them has built from a Zero starting point to 4,251 which I can mail to once a week. This means I have gained approximately 1,000 to this list each week.

By mailing to them I am building up my own list and have 22 signups to Easy Video Producer so far most of whom have come from the mailing to this list.

To mail the Super List Explode list you simply enter your planned e-mail on your sign in page and they mail it out to all those on your list.  To sign up to Super List Explode go to

http://tinyurl.com/bldbce

Maryanne Myers the owner and I believe designer of Super List Explode has just today released a new list building program called List Wonder Extreme and again there are free and paid versions available. If you sign up before 12.00am EST you wil get all those who have signed up today to your personal list.

As this is a brand new program this is your chance to get in before the thousands of others do and thus build a massive list to send your e-mail promotions and freebees to.  Visit the following link to sign up now.

My product review site Richard’s Product Reviews needs some alterations done to it as some of the links are not working and I will get those  sorted out shortly.  I will also be changing the header so that it is not so plain.

I had 20 spam comments awaiting moderation when I signed in here today and needless to say Akismet (which comes as a free plugin with Wordpress) had them all blocked until I decided what to do with them, this was a no brainer they were all deleted.

If you would like to leave any comments about any of the above items feel free to do so. If your comment is marked as spam by Akismet I will review it and then decide to let it stand or delete it.  Please also note that links to sales pages will be removed from comments although links to blogs will not.

New Video Software Let’s You Create Video Easily and Quickly!

Internet Marketing, easy video producer

I have included this post from Debbie for your consideration.

Debbie explains EVP much better than I can.

As an internet marketer I am interested in keeping up with
new ideas and trends in internet marketing. Since I have
been on the internet for a long time doing things like
creating my own internet city, website promotion, making
money on the internet, I have seen the internet change by
leaps and bounds.

Today, in order to be relevant in internet marketing your
website or blog has to do more than just be a static webpage,
now you have to have content and different methods to share
that content such as having your own blog, perhaps forums,
and now the biggie, video. With increasing access to broadband,
video is now possible for virtually everyone to use. Video has

become the new must have have, not only for internet marketers
but for everyone who has a website.

Local Biz Owners who have a website can especially benefit from

video. With video, there are new opportunities to get out your

message, advertise your business, make video postcards, send
video e-mails create how-to the ideas are endless.

We website owners however, are thinking gee we want to get in
on the video thing, but it is something else we have to learn
how to do, another learning curve, and for many of us the idea
just sort of fizzles.

I am excited because I don’t have to miss out this time, because
I lack the expertise to create and broadcast videos or perhaps
I just don’t have the time.

I found a unique new software I thought I would check out, to
see if I could use it. I was hoping it would be easy to use,
to create video and then put it on my website. I also wanted
the video to look good, something I wouldn’t mind people watching

and/or downloading to pass it around.

Well I couldn’t believe it. This software made it drop dead easy
to make videos and to put them on my website. I actually was able
to make a quality, professional looking video in less than 5 min.
This sounds crazy I know, but I did it.

If video is something you have been wanting to do but felt really

intimidated by it up to this point, you might want to try this software

for yourself, because the best part is you can use the software and

it doesn’t cost you anything. That was important to me because I

didn’t know if I would be able to use the software, and I didn’t want to

pay for something I wasn’t sure I could even use.

What I have been up to recently.

Announcements, Internet Marketing

The following gives an overview of what I have been doing recently. I hope you find it interesting.

My web design course is moving steadily onwards, so much so that I am well ahead of time as are 2 of the other students. We work at our own pace moving through the notes as fast or as slow as we need to be. We can call on the tutor for assistance if and when needed. Each section of the course was allocated 4 weeks but I am only in my 6th week now and have 2 of the 3 sections finished.

In the first section which was on IT Principles (the boring bit of the course which covers health & safety, basic computer maintenance etc.) I passed the exam with a top grade ie a distinction.

The second part of the course was on designing and building a website, and I have been working away building a new website from scratch for myself, I didn’t even have a template to start with just a blank page and a copy of Dreamweaver. I also had some video tutorials from http://www.teach-ict.net to help me along the way. My exam for this part of the course is tomorrow 11 March and I will have 2 hours to build a basic website to the specifications given. Wish me luck. I will let you know how I get on in due course.

The site I built is now available for you to view and as it is the first site I have built, without having a template with at least 90% of the information prepared, I would appreciate any comments you have about it, good or bad just leave them after this post. The site will be added to over the coming weeks with more reviews as I get to doing them. You can view my efforts at http://www.richardmoloney.com

Easy Video Producer is now fully available for you to either go for the free version or for one of the paid versions at http://tinyurl.com/ac9ans and there are 3 videos to explain exactly how you can build your list whilst referring everyone you know to the program.

I joined a list building program, on 19 February 2009, called Super List Explode. By clicking a link in just 5 emails a day, I got all the members who signed up that day added to my list. I now have a list 3,547 members to whom I have just emailed details of Easy Video Producer. There is a free version and a paid version available. As a free member you get to email your list once per week and as a paid member you can send out emails daily.

Super List Explode and can be found at http://tinyurl.com/bldbce

Until the next time.
Richard
