I will start off by wishing you all a very Merry Christmas. I Started today by oil rig hopping (as Alex calls surfing the other student blogs) and leaving some comments. I dont think I will get much done tomorrow as it is Christmas Day.
Google Analytics shows poor results at present but I am still hoping for a large increase in traffic. My twitter followers are now up to 740 so that is one target it doesn’t look as though I am going to make ie 1,000 by Christmas. Miracles do happen occasionally so we can but hope that “Santa” is looking after me.
Over the next week I will be offline and will get caught up on reading and studing in depth some of the ebooks I have downloaded onto my laptop and in the new year will be able to fall forward at a faster pace.
I will also get my blogroll updated in the near future.

Missed out on yesterday’s daily update. I just ran out of time before Alex’s Brainstorming session and after it finished I at 2.00 am here in the UK I just went to bed. For those of you who watched the session live what did you think of it? I found that questions I hadn’t thought of asking were asked by other students so I got the answers anyway. Also these sessions are, I think, an excellent way for us all to learn from each other.
Although you may not think it I have only been involved with Internet marketing for about three months so there is still a lot I have to learn and I want to publicly thank Alex and all of the students who have helped me. If I can help any of you just ask and I will do my best, if I don’t know the answer to your problem and I do know where you can get the answer I will refer you there.
To update you on my progress I now have 717 followers on twitter out of 1,859 people that I am following. I have also set up tweet later from twitter tools to automate replies to new followers and save me a lot of time. I have also set up Mr Tweet which does 2 things, (A) find influencers beyond my network and (B) which of my followers I want to follow back – without this tool I could have gained followers and not added them to my follow list but can do now semi automatically.
I am still trawling fellow student blogs and if I haven’t got to yours yet say so in your comments and I will get there ASAP. I may not always leave a comment but if I find a post which I really like will definately comment on it, if I don’t leave a comment it is not a negative as if there is something negative I may also leave some constructive criticism for you.
My google analytics are not doing as well as I would like as they only average about 18 per day for the last 4 days. I am hoping for better figures in the future.
I will keep plugging away at twitter and hope for more followers so that I hit my target of 1,000 by Christmas. Twitter tools from twitter has a number of useful addons to the basic twitter package to check them out for yourself go to www.wordpress.org/plugins and you will find twitter tools available in the list of plugins.
If tou are using wordpress for your blog another useful tool is the automatic update plugin again from wordpress.org. I was able to update my blog to wordpress 2.7 without any problems or knowing FTP or having a detailed knowledge of how to use Cpanel. WordPress.org has a large list of free themes and plugins available and you select as many as you like and take it from there.
