David Walker Webinar Module 5 – Part 5

Internet Marketing, Webinars

This is the fifth part of the information I have gained from David Walker’s fifth webinar in a series of 6 training webinars. It was called The Traffic Jam and covered the various Types and sources of Traffic.  These included the following:

  1. Free Traffic
  2. Paid Traffic
  3. Content Based Traffic Generation – Blogs / Article Marketing / Forums
  4. Social Bookmarking
  5. Video Marketing
  6. Organic Search Engine Traffic
  7. Using Your Email List To Leverage More Traffic

The reason for generating all the traffic you can is to get people into your sales funnel using as many of the methods listed above as you can.

5. Video Marketing

Youtube is the second largest search engine after Google and it is now owned by Google.

You should create short videos, less than 10 minutes, based around keywords using similar tactics to article marketing.  Then add a keyword rich title, description, and keywords.  You should also add alink to your blog in the first part of the description.

You can create videos in a number of ways:

  1. Using your webcam – to video yourself speaking into the camera
  2. Slide show with you doing the voiceover.  For the slide show you can use Microsoft Powerpoint of Open Office which is a free program similar to Powerpoint.
  3. A screen capture / tutorial with you doing the voice over.

Your traffic will come from people searching on Youtube but also from those searching on Google. because when someone does a Google video search it quite often will display some Youtube videos in the results.

6. Organic Search Engine Traffic

You may have noticed a recurring theme throughout these posts – Links! Links! Links and even more Links!  Why do think that is?  Simple Links are what improve your ranking with the search engines.

By using the tactics throughout these posts you will inprove your ranking over time and will notice more search phrases or keywords in your website statistics program.

Try to build links whenever possible and diversify where you build your links.

7. Using Your Email List To Leverage More Traffic

Ad Swaps

You will be able to use these when your list grows to more than 200 although some marketers will do ad swops when you have a list of 100.

You approach other list owners to swap adverts, you email your list with their advert and they email their list or part of it if your list is small with your advert.

Find other list owners in your niche.  If you are in IM the following will help you:

  • Warrior forum
  • IM Ad Swaps
  • List swapper
  • Ad Swap Finder

Using ad swaps is a fast way to build your suscriber list by driving targeted traffic to your squeeze pages.  You should have optimised your Thank You and Download pages as discussed in Module 4.

ALWAYS exercise caution when doing ad swaps.  You should check the credentials of your ad swap partners, get screen shots of list size, open rates, click rates etc.

Try to match clicks whenever possible.  Eg you may have a list of 1,000 giving you a click rate of 10% whereas someone else may have a list of 2,000 with a click rate of only 5% thus both lists will give 100 clicks as the smaller list is more responsive.

Remember some ad swaps are more successful than others.

That brings me to the end of Module 5 in David Walker’s webinar series. I will be back shortly with part 1 of module 6 so keep tuned to get it then.  Any comments will be welcome. If you wish to receive notification when a new post appears sign up to receive these notifications.

Valentine’s Giveaway

Giveaways, Internet Marketing

Why you’ll love using events like the Valentine’s Giveaway to build your list.

This Giveaway starts in 6 days so get in now as a contributor.

Everybody in Internet marketing agrees that ‘the money is in the list’.

From day one, you need to be capturing leads and then communicating with your sign-ups effectively.

In fact, the list building is almost more important that the website … and you don’t actually have to own a website to start this essential process.

A well-established way of list building is the Joint Venture Giveaway, and you can see one that I’m currently involved with here:

http://new-jv-talent.com/valentine/go/247/jv

Giveaways dominate in the Internet Marketing niche, but also flourish in other popular niches like Health and MLM/Network Marketing.

In this case, the Giveaway is concentrating on video training resources.

The basic process is this:

# A hosts sets up and advertises a JV Giveway event

# Contributors sign up and add their ‘gifts’ to the website … these are usually e-books, software packages, audios or videos

# These gifts are usually offered free of charge, but members have to sign up to the contributor’s email list in order to receive their gift … hence this is a ‘list building exercise’ for contributors

# After a pre-determined period of contributors adding gifts to the site, the doors open, and members can sign up and see what’s on offer

# Usually it’s a downloading frenzy, a trolley dash where you can download e-products for free … and many of them can be resold for profit

# Members are encouraged to promote the JV Giveaway, and incentives are usually given to encourage this

# Credits or commissions are usually awarded for referring people and possibly downgrade penalties if nobody is referred.

Many people sign up to Giveaway events just to help themselves to freebies, and there is nothing wrong with this.

If people didn’t do this, the marketers would not generate any new leads … so a Giveaway thrives on its ‘freebie seekers’.

However, there is no better place to be – if you’re serious about your online business and your list building – than at the front of the queue … and that means being a contributor and taking an active part in a Giveaway.

For first-timers, it’s best to take a free listing … most, if not all Giveaway events, offer a free listing option.

At http://new-jv-talent.com/valentine/go/247/jv there’s even a ‘Newbies Bootcamp’ which shows you exactly how to create a first listing at absolutely no cost to you whatsoever … and challeges you to sign up your first 10 referrals to convince yourself that this process really works.

Once you’re convinced about the process, having ventured nothing but your time, you can start to get really involved and get the additional benefits of taking an upgrade.

When you do this, you get text adverts and One Time Offers, as well as the ability to list more of your products.

Most Giveaways are so reasonably priced, you only have to sell one of your One Time Offers and you’ll have earned your fee back.

So, what are you waiting for?

Whatever niche you’re in, there’s bound to be a benefit in taking part in these Giveaway events.

Sign-up at http://new-jv-talent.com/valentine/go/247/jv right now and convince yourself that Giveaways really are the place to be if you want to build a list fast.

I hope to see your name at the top of the leader board at http://new-jv-talent.com/valentine/go/247/jv!

Richard

David Walker Webinar Module 5 – Part 4

Internet Marketing, Webinars

This is the forth part of the information I have gained from David Walker’s fifth webinar in a series of 6 training webinars.

4. Social Bookmarking

Websites you can submit your content to include:

  1. Stumble Upon
  2. Delicious
  3. Digg
  4. Reddit
  5. Propeller
  6. Mixx
  7. Sphinn (IM SEO friendly)

Sphinn is only for the IM Niche.  I have used Stumble Upon and use it every time I publish a new post here on the blog.  It does send me a varying amount of traffic depending on the time of day.  The other ones I have not used and the last three I had not heard of before this webinar but I will try them out from now on.

You should submit blog posts to bookmarking websites and create your content with those sites in mind.

  • Pop culture list posts do well on Digg and Reddit
  • Technology or software posts do well on Delicious
  • Social Media posts do well on Sphinn

It is hit and miss as to whether your post will be successful or not, if it is you could get thousands of free visitors, if not you will get a link to your blog which search engines can follow.

Twitter

Twitter.com is a microblogging platform with an estimated 18,000,000 users.  You write messages of up to 140 characters.

It is relatively easy to build a large following.  You follow someone and they follow you back.  If you pick someone well known in your niche and follow all their followers and when their followers follow you back keep following more and more people.  But be careful not to try and follow too many people at one time as Twitter will suspend you for possibly being a spammer.  Restrict your self to say 200 per day and you should be OK.

If you have followed a group of people and they don’t follow you back after a few days, then unfollow them as this will leave you room to add more people who will follow you back.

Twitter is useful for interacting with likeminded people.  You have to use Twitter to get the most from it, interact with people don’t just broadcast to them. To follow me on Twitter click here.

Facebook

Over 300,000,000 people use Facebook and you should create your own “Fan Page” rather than use your personal profile.  Try to keep business and private matters seperate

It is more difficult to build a following than Twitter but you should get a better response as Facebook updates won’t get lost among the noise as easily as on Twitter.

It’s another place for people to find your blog posts, videos etc.

That brings me to the end of part 4 of Module 5 from David Walker’s webinar series,  I will continue with Video Marketing in part 5 shortly. Any comments will be welcome. If you wish to receive notification when a new post appears sign up to receive these notifications.

How To Construct A Keynote To Sell High End Programs

Internet Marketing

This is a copy of Glenn Dietzel’s post on his blog about keynote speeches.  He has given me permission to share it with you.

Richard

Last week I had the opportunity to speak at a Canadian business conference…in Canada!

I decided to accept this particular keynote primarily NOT because of the exposure it would provide me, but because my Inner Circle and Stealth Business Coaching clients have been after me to tape a keynote. They want to see me in action so they can better understand the system I teach about how to close an audience during a keynote.

And I finally have this ready as you will see below.

One of the biggest mistakes I see speakers make again and again and again is that they simply do NOT know how to maximize their profits during a keynote. Yes, many of my clients who come to me for coaching make tremendous money keynoting, but the reality is they are still trading time for money.

As a result of this, I have put together a program for my Inner Circle and Stealth coaching clients on how to create a keynote where you are actually selling your highest end programs and services the whole time. The key is to have a system to do this where your audience NEVER realizes you are selling to them.

Keynoting is a fantastic opportunity to build your business provided you have a system embedded within your keynote to help you build residual income.

Here is some of what I have included in the program I just created to help you understand the importance that even though you have a keynote, sales and marketing are your twin tickets to financial freedom:

(Stop getting paid once. Tap into the power of keynote residuals!)

Consider These Five Principles Right Now. And if you are interested in understanding the formula and system I teach my Inner Circle and Stealth clients, jump onto the URL below.

1. Sales and marketing are your twin tickets to financial freedom. You need to have a way to remember this and implement this throughout your keynote—and in everything you do as an entrepreneur

2. It is critical that you strategically arrange everything you say and do inside of your keynote as the ‘Standard’ of your market place - Every market place today has a standard by which everyone compares themselves to. You need to know how to position yourself so that your competitors use you as their benchmark: And the audience knows this too!

3. Today it is urgent that you know how to teach in such a way that you have a stealth sales and marketing process embedded inside of your education. Your audience does NOT want to be sold to. However, they are eager to buy from you as long as you know how to position what you do in a way that is NEVER seen as selling.

4. You must know how to educate your target market as the advocate of your industry. If you fail to be seen as your audience’s advocate, you will not be heard. Advocates are trusted.

5. You have a direct responsibility as an entrepreneur to sell to your audience—and to sell all the time—24/7. But you must be able to do this knowing the importance of Principle #3 above. Selling is the greatest way to change the behaviors of your audience. When the system you are selling helps your audience solve a very specific problem, you fortify a trust relationship that will have your audience forgetting to give you a standing ovation, but instead racing to meet you and demanding your highest end programs and services.

If you are interested in watching my keynote from last week and joining my Inner Circle and Stealth Business Coaching clients on the most advanced training on how to sell inside of a keynote—I’ll show you how to create and deliver it too—then go to the following URL…
