Review Of ‘Live eBay Training Videos’ (Free Training Course)

Internet Marketing, PLR

For the last few months, I have been searching for videos that would teach me how to make money from eBay, I have found this training course which comes with resell rights that I can resell it in the ‘business opportunity’ niche.

The eBay niche is probably one of the hottest right now because as the recession deepens, more and more people are looking to make money online (specifically using eBay).

One product that I came across is Francis Ochoco’s video series titled, “Live eBay Training Videos”.

If you’ve never heard of Francis Ochoco, he was awarded the first ever ‘eBay Entrepreneur Of The Year’ award a few years ago.

“Live eBay Training Videos” is a set of 28 videos that show Francis selling on eBay in real time.  The 28 videos are as follows:

Video 1: Watch Me Register On eBay (Time: 5:16)

Video 2:  How To Register For A Paypal Account (Time: 4:02)

Video 3:  The “My eBay” Page (Time: 4:06)

Video 4:  How To Link Your Paypal Account To Your eBay Account (Time: 1:58)

Video 5:  eBay Listing Fees (Time: 5:12)

Video 6:  Prohibited Items On eBay (Time: 2:17)

Video 7:  3 Ways To Get Free Help In Your eBay Business (Time: 4:49)

Video 8:  The Importance Of Your eBay Feedback And Reputation (Time: 7:32)

Video 9:  What Is An Auction Style Listing And When You Should Use It (Time: 2:30)

Video 10:  What Is A Fixed Price Listing And When You Should Use It (Time: 7:23)

Video 11:  The Different Types Of Multiple Item Listings (Time: 6:47)

Video 12:  eBay Classified Ads (Time: 5:26)

Video 13:  What Is A Reserve Price (Time: 2:58)

Video 14:  How To Search For Items To Buy On eBay (Time: 6:45)

Video 15:  Watch Me Buy On eBay And Pay Through Paypal (Time: 4:26)

Video 16:  How To Leave Feedback For The Seller (Time: 2:34)

Video 17:  Why You Should Have Multiple eBay Accounts (Time: 1:46)

Video 18:  What I Do Before I List On eBay (Time: 8:12)

Video 19:  Watch Me List An Auction On eBay – Part 1 (Time: 4:03)

Video 20:  Watch Me List An Auction On eBay – Part 2 (Time: 5:34)

Video 21:  Watch Me List An Auction On eBay – Part 3 (Time: 5:53)

Video 22:  Watch Me List An Auction On eBay – Part 4 (Time: 4:33)

Video 23:  Watch Me List An Auction On eBay – Part 5 (Time: 5:03)

Video 24:  Post Sale Analysis (Time: 4:31)

Video 25:  Watch Me Send An Invoice To A Customer (Time: 2:37)

Video 26:  The Shipping Process (Time: 4:57)

Video 27:  Watch Me Leave Feedback For A Buyer (Time: 3:06)

Video 28:  Watch Me Notify My Customer Of Product Shipment (Time: 4:24)

As your can see from the list of videos above this is quite a detailed course on eBay and gives you everything you need, (in over 2 hours of live video), to be a success on eBay and make money consistently.

I am actually surprised that he is giving away these videos for free because it is my opinion that this is the best eBay course I have seen in a long time.

Not only he is giving away these videos for free, but he is also giving away Resell Rights for free.  This means that you can resell these videos yourself and keep 100% of the profits.

These videos are very detailed so it won’t surprise me if your 8 year old child starts selling on eBay immediately after watching these videos.

If you have ever purchased ebay video tutorials in the past, I’m sure you’ll find there was nothing spectacular about them.  (This is because they were created by average joe’s who haven’t had any real success on eBay)

So I should point out that if you are looking for a hot product that you can resell in a hot niche, make sure that it was created by someone that is successful in that niche.

That being said, I highly recommend Francis Ochoco’s “Live eBay Training Videos”.

Best of all, it is free.

Ad Swaps To Build Traffic

Affiliate Marketing, Internet Marketing

As I said in my last post on the JV Giveaways webinar once you have 1,000 people on your email list you should cut down on the giveaways you use and instead move to a different type of list building.  Ad Swaps is the next technique you should use.

What is an Ad Swap?

It is simply as the name implies a swap of advertisments between you and another marketer in your niche.  It is one of the easiest JV deals that you can do.

Ad Swaps are an easy good method to build your list provided you follow the rules laid out below.

To be able to do an Ad Swap you need:

Something to offer people such as a free ebook or report, or an audio or video report that will be useful to them.  This is your product. Ideally this will be a product you have created for yourself and not a PLR product.

You must also have an autoresponder and there are a number of auto responder companies out there.  The ones I have heard most about are Aweber, Get Response and GVO’s Eresponder service which is part of their hosting package.  I use GVO as they are my hosting company and offer a $1 trial for new members.  Click the link at the top right of this blog to find out more about GVO.

You need a Squeeze page or optin page to collect the names and email addresses of people who want the product you have available.  This should be a free product to start with.

You can use Giveaways to start building your list as if you don’t have a list you cannot do any ad swaps.

The one thing I would advise you to stick to when doing ad swaps is be totally honest with your partner in the swap.  Don’t say you have a list of 2,000 when it is only 200.  You may come across some dishonest marketers out their and if you do I would advise you not to have any further business dealings with them as if you continue to do business with them their reputation can affect your reputation on the internet and you don’t want that.  Long term success comes from being honest and building trust with everyone you come in contact with on the internet.

Be reasonable in setting up your ad swap

Sort out all the details before the swap takes place.  Most marketers will swap with someone who has a list no more than 20% – 30% different in size to their list.  If your list has been built up from Giveaways remember that these are freebee seekers and will not be as responsive as a list of buyers.  So by being honest with your prospective partner you are not leaving yourself open to negative feedback from them after the swap.  Negative feedback can cost you your reputation and stop you getting future ad swaps with others.

By sticking to the agreed terms and conditions you will ensure that both sides are happy before, during and after the Adswap.

The first time you do an Adswap learn from your probably more experienced partner.  If there is something you don’t understand ask questions of your partner, tell them it is your first ad swap.  They willbe understanding and if they are any good will be willing to help you.

Use a great headline and keep your email reasonably short – a long sales page is not needed and can actually work against you.  Stick to the date and time agreed with your partner for the swap.  Do not fill your email with links two or three is plenty, one near the start of the email, one in the middle and one in the P.S.  These links should all be the same and not refering to different offers as if they are different you will confuse the possible customer and lose the sale.

If you intend to use PLR products for your ad swap ensure that you have totally revamped the product before offering it as if not you may not be successful.

These are the basics of Ad Swaps and I wish you success with your own ad swaps.

Your comments are always welcome and if you have anything you would like me to cover here let me know and I will see what I can dig up for you.

JV Giveaways Webinar

Giveaways, Internet Marketing, Webinars

Paul Teague and Ashley Gough held a 2 hour webinar  on JV Giveaways and how to use them to build your list.

The webinar covered the following points:

  • Why Giveaways are the Number One way to build your list
  • The 5 basic steps in any giveaway
  • Professional tips for registration
  • How to setup your profile, free gift, text ads and special offer
  • A special guest (Adrainne Lee) who explained how she built her list from zero to 1,500+ just using giveaways
  • Why you should get out of giveaways when your list reaches 1,000

Lets take these in order

Why Giveaways are the number one way to build your list

When you are starting off with no list using giveaways helps you to get started building one fast and easily.

  1. You don’t need a website
  2. You don’t need to be a known person in internet marketing
  3. You can start for free or for next to nothing
  4. Your traffic comes from the giveaway so you don’t need any of your own
  5. You don’t need a vast knowledge of technical skills.  If you can use a word document and cut and paste text then you can do this.
  6. You don’t need your own product.
  7. You must have access to a computer with a broadband connection.  It doesn’t have to be your own.  You could use one at your local library or a friends one.
  8. You must have an email address
  9. You must have a paypal account
  10. You must have an autoresponder

Points 7 – 10 are the only items needed to enable you to join giveaways and build your list.  The more giveaways you join the faster your list will grow.

The 5 basic steps in any giveaway are:

  1. Enter your details into your profile for the giveaway.  This includes your name, email address, a photo of yourself (Passport size and style is all you need).
  2. For each gift you then add a description, optin page url and download page url
  3. Add your text ad or ads
  4. Add your Special Offer or Offers
  5. Promote the giveaway – with some giveaways if you have not sent some people to the giveaway by preset deadlines your gift will be removed and you will therefore not get any signups.  Promotion can be done by email, using Twitter, Facebook etc.

Paul gave a live demonstration on signing up to a test giveaway to show how easy it is at this point.

Professional tips for registration

  1. If you don’t get your registration email – check your spam folder
  2. Hotmail addresses cause problems with giveaways and some hosts also report problems with gmail/googlemail although I personally have never had a problem using gmail/googlemail.
  3. If you don’t get your registration email use the help desk to contact the host and they will sort it out.  Emails sometimes go astray no matter what service you are using and the host can easily resend the activation email.
  4. As Paul says these events are not scams he has never yet been in one that was badly run or the host did not respond to his queries.

How to set up your profile, Gift(s), Text Ads. and Special Offer

The first thing to do once you log into the giveaway is to set up your profile so click on the profile tab at the top of the page then:

  1. Enter your name
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Enter your password – this will have been supplied in your registration email or it may be one you select yourself depending on the giveaway setup.
  4. Upload a passport sized photo of yourself
  5. Enter your Paypal email address
  6. Enter your Clickbank ID if you have a clickbank account
  7. Enter your Twitter user name assuming you have a Twiter account.

To set up your gift(s) click on the Manage Gifts tab then:

  1. Enter your product name
  2. Enter your product image
  3. Enter a logo image if you have one
  4. Enter a short description of your product
  5. Enter a long (sometimes called full) description of your product
  6. Enter your squeeze page url
  7. Enter the direct download url
  8. Enter your support email address in case of problems downloading your gift

To enter your text ads click the Text Ads Management tab

  1. Enter the title for the ad
  2. Enter the text for the ad
  3. Enter the display url
  4. Enter the destination url

To enter your special offer click on the Special Offer Management tab then:

  1. Enter the offer name
  2. Select the price from the range given in the drop down box
  3. Enter the download url
  4. Enter the sales page html without any sign up form

Ashley says this is much easier if you install the screen grab addon in firefox and take a screen grab of your offer and save it to your desktop.  Open the image in Photoshop or a similar program and crop the image to remove the background and just retain the content then set the width to 700 pixels.

Upload the final image to your domain.

Insert the following html code into the Special Offer section at point 4 above:

<div align=”centre”><img src=”http://www.yourdomain.com/images/yourimagename.jpg “width=”700″ height= “xxx” align=”middle”></div>

For each of the above Paul showed how to do them live on screen with his test giveaway.  Ashley’s method loaded much quicker that just copying and pasting the html from the sales page.

At this point Paul invited Adrienne Lee to come on line and tell how she got over 1,000 signups just using giveaways.  After Adrianne’s short talk she said that her ebook “How I Got Over 1,000 Signups Thanks To Giveaways” could be downloaded from her website at AdrianneLeeMarketing.com free of charge.

Paul then went on to tell us how you could get started for free with giveaways and the following steps are what he explained:

  1. Take out a free membership of Viral Ebook Explosion as this will give you a product image and a free ebook to list in the giveaway.
  2. Sign up for a free account at Instant Squeeze Page Generator as this will give you your sign up page.
  3. Get an autoresponder as you will need it for anything you are going to do on the internet.

I recommend GVO who offer not only an autoresponder but also unlimited domain name hosting, Video hosting, a video creation package with Easy Video Producer, etc.  Now some of their functions you will not need at first but will as your presence develops.  They offer a $1 trial for 14 days and after that their Titanium package is $44.95 per month and allows you 20,000 signups.  Get response offers a free trial but restricts you to 10 signups.  Aweber costs $19 per month until you reach 500 subscribers and then increases in steps to £149 per month for 10,000 to 25,000 subscribers and keeps increasing as your list grows

You can get free autoresponders but if something goes wrong with them you could end up losing all your subscribers and having to start from Zero again.

Most companies will allow you to transfer names from another service but usually insist that your subscribers have to reconfirm their details and this could mean that you lose a large percentage of them through apathy.  This was happening to me when I first switched from Aweber to GVO but after talking to the technical team and being able to prove that my list were all double optin subscribers they manually uploaded them for me.  Other companies may not be willing to do this so be careful when you select your company as you may be stuck with them.

If you want to take the $1 trial with GVO click the GVO link at the top of the right sidebar on this blog.

Why you should get out of giveaways when your list reaches 1,000

Once you have 1,000 subscribers on your list you should move on and try a new technique for list building as it is now time to diversify your efforts.

Why do you need to diversify?  Quite simple you will find that most giveaway signups are not buyers and it is buyers that you need to make your income from.

Once your list has reached 1,000 you should then try Ad swaps.  Whilst you can get Ad swaps with a smaller list you are likely to find that you are swapping with others with similar sized lists and will not get as good a result as you will when your list reaches 1,000 +

Ad swaps will be covered in a later post.

Don’t abandon giveaways totally just concentrate on the best ones rather than all the giveaways that are available.

Alex Jeffreys New Coaching Program is Coming Soon – Watch This Space

Alex Jeffreys, Announcements, Internet Marketing

Alex Jeffreys will be releasing his new report called “Gurs’s Nightmare” soon.  This is the third book in the series of Guru’s Dream – Newbies Nightmare – Guru’s Nightmare.

This ebook will be FREE and I will post here to let you know when it is available.

His new coaching program will also be released and if you haven’t been in one of Alex’s coaching programs in the past I can highly recommend his training.  I was on his first coaching program which was held at the end of 2008 / start of 2009 and in it Alex completely over delivered in each of the sessions.

Alex’s webinar training sessions were to have been a total of 3 hours long with 2 hours for training and 1 hour for questons, at least that was the plan, they exceeded that time frame considerably with the longest one being over 7 hours in total.

His Marketing With Alex 2.0 coaching took place in the summer of 2009 and again it sold out very quickly.  I did not partake in that coaching but I have heard the students from it again say that Alex over delivered.

Once you have been through his coaching the webinars are all recorded and available in the members area for you to look back on as often as you want.  Some of his past students are earning in excess of $10,000 dollars per month simply by following Alex’s training.

This post has been written to give you advance notice of the new coaching and if you are interested in learning more either leave me a comment below and as soon as I have more details I will let you have them or you could click the following link to register your interest for the Marketing With Alex Coaching and go onto the waiting list.

This does not commit you to joining the coaching but does ensure that you have the opportunity to sign up for it when it is available.

I will update this post as and when I have more information available.

Your comments are always welcome.
